I bought this for a few reasons, my old waterproofs were stuffed, I missed my old issue poncho and frankly, waterproof trousers don't work well if you're walking in a kilt.
This isn't much of a review, as I haven't been for a walk with it since purchasing it. However, I can comment on what I think of the thing as it arrives on your doorstep.
It's a very nice poncho, by that, I mean that it is designed well, is made well and is of good quality material. For a poncho, it is feature-rich, has a great hood, will easily cover even a large pack, gives access to your chest (in my case, for binoculars) and has studs to close the arms a little to help in windy conditions.
I'm convinced that it'll be a good thing in the field and that it will last for years. I suspect though, that it would benefit from some means of drawing it in at waist level for those windy days.
I looked at every poncho that the internet has to offer and this one seemed to have everything I wanted and was competitively priced. I have other products by Tasmanian Tiger and love them, they're also well designed, well made and above all, useful. Good luck to all who hunt for a poncho, I reckon you'd love this one.
